I do not have a death wish.

Usually when I have used a lift before I have lifted it only about 1 or 2 inches off the ground at first and then pushed as hard as possible on each side to see if it would move at all.

In this case I will most likely try and get a friend of mine to tag along the first couple of times I use it and I will also try and track down someone with some previous experience.

I will be very careful - I was just hoping to get some insight on good points to start with. I find it better to ask for information ahead of time rather then at the moment I need it......
