you can restore the horse hair pads. look at my seat refurbishment in the SL forum. Use lots of rubberizing spray and glue some padding to fill in the lost areas. I really made my crumbling seat pads seem like new. the rear seat sl pads are 250$ each. Ouch. I spent about 75$ restoring all of my pads. I removed them from the springs first then rubberized them to heck. Then add a thin layer of foam over the top after filling the uneven coconut areas with padding.
