Alternator broke off my 93 GMC truck yesterday. Bracket and alternator housing snapped. Piss poor design. No mounting points at the back for the alternator to resist the torque of the belt. Rear mounting bracket was added in 94+. So I'm looking for both mounting brackets (93 and the 94) since GM doesn't make them anymore. One (93 and 94+) is a bent piece of flat stock steel and the other (94+) a more complicated mount which bolts to the intake manifold and has the lifting eye. Thinking some dieselhead here might have an old engine sitting out in the backyard or something.
