When you say you changed the control module, what exactly did you change?

If the brake light switch doesn't help, could be you have a problem similar to the one I had. In my case, the problem was with the ABS pump. It's more than that, but it is the device on driver side with all the brake tubes coming in and out. What happens, is that the brushes in the pump motor wear and the pump malfunctions intermittently. The electronics in the brake system ate tied together, so you get a Christmas tree of lights (BAS/ABS/ASR)

You should get the codes read. C1401 seemed to be the one pointing toward this problem.
