I am pretty tall with long legs. To push the seats all the way back in Ol' Yeller ('83 300D) to get comfortable, I have to drop them all the way down and then I have a tough time getting out of the car! Are these back and forth tracks particularly unusual?

Thanks!
No, not really. I was a dope for not grabbing the driver's side at the yard. It has the track for back and forth, but the "height" is nothing but a black bracket held in by the large yellow cadium plated phillips screws. There is a large silver bolt which goes thru the bracket into where the "B" pillar terminates at the floor. Very simple system, plus I get to shed about 15 pounds. The height adjustment is a PITA to take apart since you have to manipulate the tracks back and forth to access the various yellow cadium plated scews. With the simple back and forth, everything is eyeballed accessible. When I needed the height adjustment tract, I found the simple system and now it's vice versa. LOL
