There are 3 choices of temperatures for the thermostat when you look it up online. I know that with the mechanical injection you need proper temperature for the injection pump to come off of cold enrichment when the engine is warmed to operating temperature.
I see three thermostat temperatures available: 71C, 79C, 88C.
Forgive me for saying this but... No guesses please. It is an elder friends car that I have worked on for a few years and the car is bone original. Thanks for any info.
If you pull out the original....it should be stamped on the housing.
