hi......

I've been tracing down a problem i have with both rear windows. (88 300e) They are stuck in the up position. I'm 99% sure it is bad motors. I have removed the left rear window lift. I have a couple of questions if anyone can answer. Is there suppose to a curvature to the lifting rail? The part of the cable which runs from the reel to the top pully is tighter than a piano string. On the other side of the pully(the down side)
the cable is very relaxed. Has the cable become so tight that it has pulled the lift rail from being straight. I assume that the lift rail should be curved because the window is curved. Just want to be sure. Also, what size hex tool is required to remove the two bolts on the motor from the reel housing? Any other helpful hints with regards to replacing these motors are appreciated.
