The compact ZAZ's remind me of a FIAT 600 of the era. There is probably a good reason for that.

When it came to reliability I wonder which was the best? The FIAT or the ZAZ?

I almost bought a FIAT 600 in 1971 since the new price was $1600. But no A/C option killed the deal.
