Don’t need a tool after all!
I was able to remove the cluster by hands just pulling it out from outside… didn’t have to go behind the dash or anything… the cluster must have been removed few times in the past which helped me in this case… also to my surprise, there was no speedometer cable to miss with. My model chassis 124.034 has an electronic wire that connects to the back of the speedometer with about 18" length to it which made it easy to pull the cluster all the way out without disconnecting the speedometer wire.
My next challenge now is to remove the oil pressure gauge and see if I can fix it by replacing some bad components or cold solder joints etc… any ideas there?
