No no no no and no.....don't drive or even start the car with the drain plug removed...this will for sure ruin your power steering....simply remove the small bolt and then turn the wheel with the car off from one side to the next....this will get everything out...now before you install a new filter...fill the system and drive a bit...do a lot of turning of the wheel and then re drain the system....it may take a lot of flushes to get the fluid clear enough to see the bottom...
