I won the long distance award a couple years ago in my daily driver '85 300TD wagon. Not a fancy high dollar car or even the prettiest, but I put it in the show and got parked next to some nice(r) cars. Jalopy or not, people enjoy looking at cars from whatever maņana turkeer they are interested in. I personally like looking at the more "user" type cars. While it's nice to see high dollar immaculate restorations, the ones still being driven regularly are just as interesting to me.
