The '96 E300 (W210, OM606NA) had its 722.4 tranny overhauled due to front pump seal leaks (249,000 miles, $2900 in late 2007); the mechanic said the wear parts had another 50K miles on them and all the hard parts were good. Maintenance was and is oil/filter every 30,000 miles.

The '95 E300 (W124, OM606NA) is at 213,000 miles with the original 722.4 tranny. Maintenance is oil/filter every 30,000 miles.
