OK, I got the whole assembly out, and the problem was indeed the linkage to the passenger side. The rod that attaches to the passenger wiper tower had fallen off. In the poor lighting of where I removed it, I took for granted there was a circle-clip that held the rod on but upon closer inspection, it looks like it may just be a friction fit on the bushing. There's no groove for any clips. Any ideas? Does it seem possible just that bushing holds the linkage rod on? If so, any ideas where to buy that rubber bushing?
