Hi,
I have bought a used 97 E420 with a 55k only
on odometer. However, on a recent trip to
local MB Service center where I planned only
to change oil and filter I was told that
both front Control Arm Bushings are worn
and need a replacement. I did not argued with
the service center since I did experience
some uncontrolled movements in the front of
the car when making turns at high speed.
My question is then to understand why a car with a low mileage have such an "old age car"
defect? Is it an alarm for me that the
car might have been seriously abused
by the previous owner or worse the odometer has been
tempered with ?

Sincerely,
Stan Levin.
