Please Help!!!

I am about to change the fuel pump on my 96 C280 and I need some quick pointers!!!! PPPLLLLEEAAAASSSEEEEE.....

First do I clamp the hoses going to fuel pump? do I need to change the hoses too even if they are in good shape?

Do I need to do anything else?

I disconnected the battery in order to work on the car safely. When I put the terminals back do I need to do anything else, like purging fuel or similar?
