This isn't so much a check to what the Focus can do speed-wise as it was meant to point out what would be left of a venicle that hits another vehicle at a combined speed of 120mph.
Problem still with this scenario is: ( Mass * > Speed ) will combined with ( Mass * < Speed ) which, probably, will result in less damage to the vehicle at the higher speed -vs.- the vehicle that's traveling at the slower speed, even at a combined speed of 120mph...
Bottom line?
Don't go hitting anything at any combined speed.
