I just bought my 1988 Mercedes 300 SE and had it inspected at:

They service all vehicles not just Rovers and Vern the owner has many years as a licensed mechanic, his shop of passionate mechanics does the work that must be done and has a very loyal following for this reason.
One of their mechanics, Alex is from Germany and worked at MB for numerous years. Not only does he have a great knowledge and love of them, but remains quite passionate about them!!
There's a few other independents - owner/operators I've heard about, but haven't been to.
