Social Security is usually paid during the week of your birthday. If your birthday is on the 5th of May then your SS payment will come each month during the week with the fifth day in it. At least that's one way. There may be others.
That's about right, but the month is split in thirds. 1-10, 11-20, 21-31 and regular SS benefits deposited on the second, third and fourth Wednesdays. During the first week of the month payments are for SSI or pre-97 combined SSI & SS payments....or something like that.
