Arnott struts are rebuilt MB ones. They take apart all of the 'wear' items (air cells, etc) and replace them.

They say the new parts are better and stronger. They use Continental as a supplier for many of their air cells fro example.

I suspect they disassemble a strut, take an air bag and find the "best possible" replacement with higher standards, better quality, etc. Then they install and test. They probably do this for every part and then put the thing back together. Then they duplicate it with every one they get in the future for rebuild.

I have lots of Arnott struts installed (both Airmatic and ABC) and they have been just as good as the MB ones. They are probably better but I won't know till I have much more mileage on the cars.

At minimum they are exactly the same quality as MB.

I wouldn't hesitate with replacing with an Arnott. They'll also give you a (lifetime?) warranty. Where MB will ask you to buy another strut yet again when this one fails, because it's identical to the bad one on your car that you are replacing already!
