There are two places for adjustment. The hole in the rear hub which adjusts the actual brake shoes and the turnbuckle in the cable. The turnbuckle would need to be adjusted to remove any "hanging" slack from the parking brake cable.

If the car has been driven with the parking brake on for only a short distance, adjustment might be in order. If driven for an extended period, you'll probably want to replace the parking brake shoes.

The parking brake pedal should begin to tighten up after about three clicks.
