Sure, removing the dash is a hell of a job and I do not want to do it again. That is why I tested and re-tested all the diaphragms to see if they held vacuum BEFORE I put them back in.
The difference in price between the new vacuum elements and the just the rubber diaphragms is substantial, not just "a couple of extra dollars".
It has been about three or four years since I changed mine. I guess I have a few more to go.:p
