My friend's daughter hasn't yet been born but she was diagnosed with a rare disorder (1 in 4000) around 4 months into the pregnancy. I forgot what it's called, but her kidneys did not develop hence no amniotic fluid, she had an enlarged heart. Doctors told them she would very small chance of surviving. They made the very hard decision to have induced labor at 6 months, and when she finally arrived she only survived a few minutes before passing away.

Her cremation was originally Friday, but it was moved to today (or yesterday).

For a brief moment, they had a daughter. Their 7 year old son keeps asking, "Maybe she'll wake up again?" and, "Where did she go?"

Edit: It was "Potter Sequence".
