I've just done that.

I posted for months and never for a reply. Your left LCD plus the Wheel must be out. Is this correct?

To fix the bulb, you will have to carefully remove the AUTO button by picking it with a small flat screw driver. Just be careful not to damage the buttons. The button comes off with some force but you must be careful not doing it too hard so the button fly out.

There is a spring in the button as well. If you do it too hard, the spring will jump and will be a pain to find in the car.

Once you have the AUTO out, its piece of cake. there is 2 bulbs, 1 for the AUTO button 1 for the wheel and LCD. the one for the wheel and LCD is covered by a small round cap, again pick on it with a small screw driver.

Once all that out, you will have to take the light out. This take some skills but if you use a small tube, push it in and pull should catch the bulb together.

BTW, I am refering to a BOSCH unit.
