Well Dyno day was a great time, awesome to see some of those cars produce as much power as they do!
Here are a few of my numbers, I think some are accurate and others are a bit optimistic......but not too optimistic.
Test 1:
Hp = 247.3 @ 5900RPM
Torque = 255.4 @ 4400RPM
Test 2:
Hp = 247.4 Hp @ 5900 RPM
Torque = 257.1 @ 4400 RPM
As you can see the car performed nearly identical for both runs. The car never really got hot and floated around 95C the whole time.
I believe these results are accurate and overall transmission losses were equivalent to about 23%.
Now for the crazy 1/4 Mile Times!
Test 1:
I loaded up the torque converter to 3000RPM and stepped of the break. I let the car shift itself.
1/4 = 14.46 / Trapspeed 103 MPH
0 - 62 = 6.218
Test 2:
I loaded up the torque converter to 3500RPM and stepped of the brake. I let the car shift itself again.
1/4 = 14.19 / Trapspeed 104 MPH
0 - 62 = 5.778
Test 3:
This time I didn't load up the torque converter and just dropped the hammer!
1/4 = 13.11
/ Trapspeed 111
:eek
0 - 65 = 5.4
I think all the numbers are about .5 seconds optimistic. Keep in mind this Dyno does compensate for wind resistance and many other forces in the real world. Now I'm dying to see the results on a realy 1/4 mile run!
