Here you can see where it is hooked up inside the transmission. There is no way to remove it without damaging something.

I removed the pin with a chisel and a small ball peen. Tap on the very end pushing it away from the transmission. It will pop out. MAKE SURE you hold onto the spring to keep from losing it. I went ahead and slipped it off of the section where it was secured to relief it.

After unhooking spring I used the chisel to punch it out. The next picture shows the pin with the o-ring. I replaced the o-ring as a preventive measure.
