The Becker Mexico (model 485) in my 1980 300D developed a high volume squeal after I hit a bump in the road.

I am planning to install a new (probably Sony) radio, disconnect the front speaker wires from the fader, and run those speakers only. I rarely, if ever use the radio and my wife likes to listen to the Sirius satellite when she drives to the store. Our 70+ year old ears don't need high quality sound. Probably can't hear it anyway.

I have one question:

How do I get the antenna to go up and down when I turn on the new radio?
