On my Katana 750 -

1) SS1000

2) Get out of the .mil road trip.Ohio-> PA-> SC-> TN-> AR-> NM-> CA-> CO-> MN-> home in Ohio all in 30 days. Longest day was 800mi.


Dont regret either trip, but nowadays, I'd grab a more touring-y bike to do it.

Start with a good sized gel seat pad and bicycle shorts. Practice holding your body up with your abdomen and getting weight off of your hands (this is, imho, the key to doing distance on a sport bike...not that a Katana is really a sport bike...). Like most things in life, practice helps greatly.
