You could but why? I have no issue with riding a sportbike across town or an hour or two away but 6 to 8 hr journey on that? I wouldn't punish myself like that. I'd definitely want a comfortable bike of some sort even if I have to beg, borrow or steal one. I set up my sportster after the wife decided to go with a Spyder to be more comfortable with better seats, handlebars and some mods to the motor. Wasn't going to take the swing in the shorts on that change. Her RS-S Spyder is more of a sportbike style where you lean forward more. An hour or maybe two is ok but I wouldn't ride it more than that unless I had to. Certainly not if I want to enjoy scenery. I want to be comfortable and not beat myself up
