A rough estimate is that it should take about 20 pounds of pressure. Assuming about .5 inches diameter for the valve, that's about .2 sq in. It opens at 110 psi which means it should take 20 pounds of force or so on the valve itself to open...which is pretty much what I estimate I used to open it.
