This is good, our '96 Infiniti came with el cheapo pads and the pedal feel wasn't too terribly affected but the braking performance was terrible. New pads (Akebono ceramic) and new rotors were a huge improvement.

Another good point, I think the pedal is supposed to rise slightly as vacuum builds, right?
