I remember 17-18 cents a gallon for 100+ octane at the Mobile station (When they still had the red Pegasus!!!) My first job was $0.65/hour, minimum wage. So about 26-28% of my hourly wage bought a gallon of gasoline. So now it is $1.90 - $2/gallon, about 28% of minimum wage. Funny how that works.
