An update....Took it to tranny shop today to put it up on the lift. Tech strongly suspects front pump seal (at least) from visual inspection, but can't be sure without pulling the tranny. But between four hours bench time and removal and installation of tranny, that starts to add up $$$. He said that, if the problem is the bushing, I should be able to hear something prior to catastrophic failure. So, I'm just going to roll the dice, keep adding fluid, and hope for the best. Since I was probably looking at a solid $1000-1200 (or more if the torque converter shaft was worn), it just didn't seem to make sense to spend the money. Hope I'm not being penny wise and pound foolish, but today at least this seems to make the most sense.
