GOOD ON YA for this with your Daughter ! she may take a while to come around but in time , unless she's dim , she'll realize you only give her helpful advice and are always there , not with a checkbook in hand but useful information to become a productive Adult Citizen .

I raised my Son alone from 12 Y.O. when his Mother more or less took off , long before that I made him toe the line , always about everything and oddly , he whizzed through school with a 4.0 GPA and never was arrested , did drugs , got tattoos (I have ink) nor brought me any bastards .

He began going on traveling jobs with me when he was 5 or 6 and had to save up for his own first car , pay for the tags and insurance too as I knew if he did this , he'd value it more and he did in spite of becoming a far better and faster competitive racer that I ever dreamed of .

Kids are always smarter and more aware than their parents think , they watch and observe everydamnthing .
