The drains are located close to the firewall on both sides. It is the are where the hood hinge collapses into when closed. It is rare that they don't have some crap in them. I often use the narrow nozzle of a shop vac or vacuum cleaner to get the stuff out.

Once you think they are cleaned out, use a hose on a slow flow and see that the water proper exits instead of filling up the cavity. If it doesn't drain out, you'll need to use a long (12-16") tool (1/4" diameter) to *gently* push through the holes the rest of the build-up.

When functioning properly, the water going in should be the water going out freely.
