hi,
i’ve have been reading tons of conversations about running biodiesel, what to look out for and what hoses to change. i noticed that most of the conversations were 5-10+ years old, with expired images and links. the vast information is spread throughout so much reading with a lot of repetition. i thought it would be really useful to compile all the info in one place. i’m noting down what i have, some are direct quotes from conversations, but some stuff i think the jury was still out on… and there might be stuff i'm missing, so if anyone has any edits or suggestions, or further key info to suggest, that would be rad. then i could make edits and maybe post a sticky or something here on the forums.

contents:
biodiesel
cold temperatures
rubber hoses
testing hoses
synthetic hose brands options
buying hoses
hose clamps
which hoses to change
other rubber hoses and parts
fuel filters
the couple Qs i had were:
gates also makes a “fuel injection hose” rated 225psi for newer vehicles with electric pump fuel injection. maybe it would work for the cigar hose?
synthetic o-rings - are they still available?
is fryer still selling parts?
how many hose clamps and ft of 5/16" hose do you really need?
thanks!
