Grueling day yesterday! I started my morning looking at our parts W116 280S. The car has no papers and plenty of sun and rust damage, so it's not worth restoring. It is in our little Museum "junkyard", covered in dust. Not fun to pull parts off of it! A traditional scarf (ghutra) around my head and face, in the style of the Berbers of the desert, and down to the job
Back in our maintenance shop, I realized the rust damage on the tracks and replaced them with the ones from the old seats. Forgive the chisel in the picture, some rusted components needed a little bit of "swing press convincing".
