On your S-420, is the shift knob looks just like a regular black knob(I did the same thing you did on my 300E i'm just not sure if it can be done on this model)How much did the knob cost you coz I can get the whole shifter knob with the shaft for like $59. and it includes the shaft it's just the matter of installing it.
