Have been unable to work on the 300E recently , but I still have that problem.
Have not found a similar circuit on my car (KE control to starter) so have been looking at alternative causes.
There is alot of talk about overvolt relays so I measured the charging voltage , was surprised to see 15 volts (engine running) which does not change with load or revs. Battery volts are OK with engine off.
Could this cause the overvolt relay to switch in and out ?
Is there a way to test the overvolt relay ?
Or am I following a false lead considering the results with the EHA current ?
