Best of luck to you too,I just ordered a actual
straight edge off eBay for $25 it's a 24" one which should be perfect. The ruler bends too much for me to have 100% trust in it.
The other thing I have to check is if the block is warped,if it is I wonder if at that point I should just write the whole motor off..
