I need to replace the shifter rod bushing on my 1974 280C (floor shift, automatic). Both bushings are gone. The rear busing appears to be semi-easy to get to (floor shifter), but the front one appears to be difficult (the one on the transmission). Is there a trick to getting that bushing in or do you need to lower the transmission.
