hi Kestas

thanks for your feedback. yes i use to have fun working on cars in the 60's and racing the old hemi but when i got a bit older i figured it was easier to get it done.

after seeing the oil come out the last 2 pumps was near the bottom of the pan and it is dirtier. i haven't run that engine in 14 months. i just finished replacing the cam and rockers so i didn't want to start it with that old oil. thought i'd try the vac but i got some reservations on it ability to get the nasty stuff at the bottom.

i'm going to go and do some searches now this aftn and see if i'm seeing what other people see.

Oh and yes i did the filter i always carry a spare or two in each of my cars just incase and i would never drop the oil and keep the filter.
