If you pull on the rubber tubing gently it should come at least part way loose (or did on my car). I then applied a thin coat of (this is for leathermang) Barge Cement to the outside surface of the rubber. I then took a dull plastic putty knife and pushed the fabric back into the crease between the rubber and the body of the car.
It has worked so far but it has only been a few months so I wouldn't swear by it.
