I thought the 300SD was discontinued in 1994 and no other diesels were being imported! I'm glad to learn about the e 300, especially since it weighs about a thousand pounds less than the SD. The E class looks like a great platform. It also looks like I could buy a 1998 or 1999 for about the price of a new Accord. I think I'd rather have the 5 year old Merc!
