I always hear ' the elements are leaking on my IP ' and I mis understood what part they were talking about as the leaks always seem to be the top threaded piece .

Question :

How to remove the copper sealing ring ? .

I tried with my American made Dental Pick and couldn't budge it .

Still hoping others will chime in here , i know many have experience with tinkering the IP .

I was a bit concerned about there being more crud further in but so far so good ~ I gave each open valve well a generous spray of starting fluid (Ether) until very clean .
