I picked up two '87 300d's in January 2016 from a little old lady in Indianapolis for $750 (C-list). A driver in gray and its parts car in light blue.

The driver would qualify under babymogs description of somewhat rusty, deferred maintenance, etc, but surprisingly the engine was pretty well taken care of and runs very solid. I'm looking forward to making it a daily. G. D. surprising how fast these cars are. I also have a '92 300d and think it will be interesting to get them out on a nice backroad someday for bragging rights.
