93 octane is about a dime shy of $2.00/gal here in southern WI.

Apparently the state AG is checking into the recent price hikes, but I'm not sure why? Besides the threat of war, the colder than usual weather, Venezuelan oil workers' strikes and poltical turbulence in Nigeria have dramatically affected prices. I think oil is $37/barrel right now and probably will hit that magic $40/barrel.

Hopefully after a "short" war, prices will plummet like they did in '91 -- down to $18/barrel!
