I'll order some of the real stuff to have in case but am just wondering whether I'm apt to have trouble immediately.

Back in 1992 my lines leaked on the Volvol Diesl that uses the same Injector bodies. I replace that line with some vacuum hose and that lasted about 2 weeks. So I had to buy the real thing from the volvo dealer wich was also the VW Dealer and VW Rabbits used the same hose.
Since 1992 there has been changes with the chemical make up of Diesel Fuel so there is no telling how long a hose not made for the purpos will last.
On the same Car I also replace one of the fuel return hoses with silicion vacuum hose. That worked for over 2 years. However, when I removed it it was rock hard and needed some carful cutting to get it off.
