If you change it out every year or two you're not going to do any harm to it. The green stuff is pretty safe on aluminum cooling system these days. If you want for an extra $3 dollars you can use Zerex G-O5 same stuff as MB (it's who makes MB coolant) at Advanced Auto. If you replace the stuff that's in there now, you're throwing money down the drain.
