Just got the trans from a w203, its from an M271 but bolts up fine. It came with a dual mass flywheel and the clutch - I plan to ditch it for a single mass flywheel.
Doing more research on trans options I came across a claim of someone running around 500 horse and lb-ft through a 716.xxx Either way I'm willing to test it, plus I'm glad it's all a MB drivetrain.
Does anyone know if the clutch brake pedal assembly from a W123 will bolt on? I'm also looking at a hand lever parking break - the hydraulic setups wouldn't be ideal for a parking break, but there are still plenty of options.
