I'm in south Florida near Sarasota and looking to buy a diesel in the next week or two if possible. Forgive me if I'm a dreamer, but I have $3,000 to spend and I'd like a mint condition diesel between 1960 and 1985. By mint I mean well-preserved interior with no cracks, rips, or tears, an exterior with good paint, no dents, and no rust, ac and electronic components working for the most part, an engine in superb condition with a lot of miles left in her (with receipts). I've seen such cars on E-bay for months, but now that I've finally sold my car, there isn't much of quality in Florida at the moment.

If anybody wants to be kind and offer me such a car, honesty is paramount. If I meet somebody a few hours away, I want to do business, not waste both our time. A woman told me she had a perfect 1980, 300D for $2,500 and when I drove all the way over, I found it had rust spots, a dent, and mildew on the interior.
